WASHINGTON, DC (WHTC-AM/FM) – Zeeland Congressman Bill Huizenga and Republicans in the Michigan Congressional Delegation have released a video on tax cuts.
According to Huizenga, the video details how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will benefit hardworking middle class families by doubling the standard deduction, increasing the child tax credit, and creating more opportunity for Michiganders to achieve the American Dream.
Congressman Huizenga says that the plan will free up more money out of people’s paychecks in Michigan and across the country. He also says that they will liver a modernized, 21st century tax code that is built specifically to help Michigan middle class families, spur economic growth, and put America’s interests first.
Last week, Congressman Huizenga supported the effort to successfully restore the Adoption Tax Credit to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. This legislation passed out of the Ways and Means Committee on Thursday and is expected to receive a vote before the full House of Representatives later this week.
