KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Democrats gathered in Milham Park to criticize Congressman Fred Upton over a vote he took to cut the EPA’s funding by $800-million in September.
Yesterday State Senate Candidate Sean McCann blasted the St.Joseph Republican saying it was this kind of neglect that resulted in the Flint Water Crisis.
Former Congressman Mark Schauer, who represented Battle Creek at the time of the Enbridge Oil Spill says it’s almost as if Upton has forgotten what happened on the river.
No one is sure yet whether Rep. Upton is running for his current seat or will challenge Debbie Stabenow for her Senate seat.
There is some speculation that he may join other Republican lawmakers and retire.
For now he remains a candidate and a target.
