ORANGEVILLE TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — In many parts of Michigan, local officials have been ignoring medical marijuana dispensaries, allowing them to operate as the State Legislature has authorized licensing, which has not yet taken effect.
This week in a series of three coordinated raids, officers from two separate anti-drug units and the Barry County Sheriff’s Department took down illegal medical marijuana operations in Allegan and Barry Counties.
They claim it was the result of a three month long investigation of a dispensary operating in Orangeville Township.
They claim they seized several pounds of pot, a marijuana grow and $40,000 cash.
Apparently no arrests were made but charges will be sought.
