GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO AM/FM) — Hey kids don’t try this….ever.
Grand Rapids Police are looking for the HIT AND RUN driver who was involved in a pair of crashes with the same car in a scene that looked like something out of a movie.
Officers say the at-fault driver first accidently collided with a vehicle that contained a man and woman at 4th and Stocking Avenue.
When the at-fault driver tried to flee the scene, the other driver jumped on the hood of his car to try and keep him from leaving. It was a big mistake.
He ended up hanging on for dear life as the suspect took off down I-196 at about 1:30 Sunday morning.
The woman in the victim’s car followed in hot pursuit. When the two vehicles collided again on the highway, the man on the hood was launched into the air, landing on Valley Drive next to the highway.
The at-fault driver’s car rolled over and he fled on foot.
He remains on the run and is being sought.
The victim suffered a broken limb and cuts and bruises, and is probably lucky to be alive.
