UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — Police agencies say before you venture out on the ice, make sure its thick enough because there were a couple of incidents over the weekend that suggests it might not be.
A man had to be rescued this weekend after falling through the ice on Lake Bella Vista in Kent County, and rescue crews managed to pull a horse out of a pond in Ray Township.
A Deputy went through trying to attach a rope to the horse’s bridle but he was quickly rescued. Both the man and horse will recover.
Warm weather over the next few days may make it more dangerous.
