ST. JOSEPH COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — There has been another fatal accident in Southwest Michigan this holiday weekend.
State Police report that one man was passing another on Youngs Prairie Road near New England Road in Constantine Township at about 4:15 pm Saturday when the man being passed lost control of his Chevy Malibu went out of control, left the pavement and hit a tree.
The cars reportedly did not make contact, but the impact with the tree killed a 49-year-old man from Constantine. The other driver, a 37-year-old man from Three Rivers, breifly left the scene, but quickly returned.
It remains under investigation.
