KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The co-owner of a Kalamazoo bar at the center of accusations for serving drugged drinks earlier this year has been arraigned for a different charge stemming from those investigations.
John Rockwood, who helps operate at the Y Bar and Bistro near Western Michigan University, faces four counts of serving drinks to minors. He was arraigned Wednesday.
In April, dozens of college students claimed they were served tampered drinks at the bar. But after a lengthy investigation, scouring hours of surveillance video, Kalamazoo authorities announced earlier this month they had found no evidence into the claims and that the case was closed.
Rockwood’s next court date is set for July 15.
