BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN) – UPDATE: Police have identified an inmate of the Calhoun County Jail who died recently, according to a report from WWMT Tuesday.
Previously, police reported that an inmate was found unresponsive in her cell on June 16. The inmate has been identified as 32-year-old Heather Burrett.
According to the new report, police say she died about a day after being lodged in her cell. She had originally been charged with the unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle in April, which she was sentenced to probation for.
She was jailed after failing a drug test, according to the report.
At this time, police do not suspect foul play, and an autopsy did not indicate signs of trauma.
The results of a toxicology report are currently being sought while the death remains under investigation.

A nurse performed CPR, but medics were unable to revive her.

The State Police and the Calhoun County Examiner are investigating the death as standard procedure.
If she tested positive for drugs then she probably died from unmediated and unsupervised withdrawals. The Calhoun county jail does t care if someone is dying or needs help. Shame on those co’s. Maybe the foul play should stand with the CO’s.
