HOWARD TWP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Cass County Sheriff’s office is searching for the driver of a blue and gray Ford Escape that hit an elderly woman’s vehicle in Howard Township on Saturday.
It happened around 3:30 pm on Lake Shore Drive and Barron Lake Road when the 78-year-old Howard Township resident who was driving a grey Kia Soul was struck by the Ford Escape while attempting to turn into a driveway.
Authorities say the driver of the Escape did not stop, but kept traveling west on Lake Shore Drive.
The victim was taken to Spectrum Health Lakeland Niles with minor injuries. It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
