Son, former players, make allege Schembechler covered up abuse by doctor

ANN ARBOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Bo Schembechler’s son and two former players claim the longtime University of Michigan coach knew about alleged abuse by a team doctor.

Matt Schembechler, Daniel Kwiatkowski, and Gilvanni Johnson said yesterday that they were sexually assaulted by Dr. Robert Anderson and told the coach, but nothing was done about the incidents.

Since last year, 850 people have accused Anderson of abuse.

Bo Schembechler led the Wolverines from 1969-1989 and died in 2006.  Anderson, who worked at the school from 1966-2003, died in 2008.
