KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – In a game that was delayed several times due to rain, the Kalamazoo Growlers walked 12 times and advanced around the bases as multiple pitches went to the backstop, en route to a 10-0 win over Kokomo Jackrabbits Monday.
Tanner Knapp pitched six innings, striking out nine while only allowing three hits. Luke Krkovski and Hayden Berg tossed three scoreless innings in relief.
The Growlers scored three runs on five walks as they split the two game series with the Jackrabbits.
Kalamazoo will welcome the Lakeshore Chinooks to Homer Stryker Field for the first of a two-game set Tuesday. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
