UNDATED (WHTC)- Over 90,000 GM SUV’s and full size trucks are being recalled due to an ignition switch issue. GM estimates the recall compensation will cost the auto maker between $400 million and $600 million. Many stats however only have about 500 vehicles with the ignition issue.
The faulty ignition switches caused the vehicles to change to an “off” position resulting in the compromise of the power steering and power brakes sysyems. This issue comes a year after GM recalled approximately 2.7 million of their vehicles built in the mid 2000’s. That issue was also an ignition problem.
