DETROIT (WKZO) — Today is a day set aside to say, “thank you” to law enforcement officers. Ways to show support on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day include wearing blue, posting a message on social media or stopping to thank an officer while you’re out and about.
A recent statement from the Michigan Sheriffs Association says, “In light of recent negativity directed toward law enforcement nationally, there is a need to show law enforcement officers that our citizens recognize the difficult and sometimes impossible career they have chosen, in public service to us all.”
