UNDATED (WHTC)- Michigan’s ban on gay marriage could be decided by the Supreme Court in the next few days. Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee’s bans as well as Michign’s ban were upheld by the U.S. 6th District Court of Appeals, as the nation’s highest court looks to decide if it will overturn those bans.
It is believed the Supreme Court favors a nationwide ruling in place by July of this year. Michigan Attorney General Bill Shuette believes the ultimate decision should be left to the Michigan voters who approved the ban in a 2004 vote, but agrees the state cases should be reviewed by the court.
