WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKZO) — The health of Detroit Red Wings legend Gordie Howe is improving following stem cell treatment for a series of strokes suffered last year.
Red Wings scout Mark Howe tells the “Detroit Free Press” that his father is “doing very well” and is no longer bound to a wheelchair. Howe gave the update on his father at the Wings game against the Washington Capitals over the weekend.
The 87-year-old Mr. Hockey suffers from severe dementia and began stem cell treatment in mid-December.
