LANSING (WKZO) — A former priest behind bars in Oklahoma is now facing several felony charges in Michigan for allegedly sexually abusing young boys in the state in the 1980s.
Seventy-four-year-old James Rapp was a priest, teacher, wrestling coach and maintenance supervisor at Jackson Lumen Christi High School when he’s accused of the crimes between 1980 and 1986. Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette says when Rapp is released in Oklahoma, he will be brought to Michigan to face charges.
The former priest is eligible for parole next year.
