DETROIT (WKZO) — The American auto industry has been too aggressive and may have overreacted in the past few years with recalls according to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV CEO Sergio Marchionne. He expressed hope that recalls will “stabilize” in the future while acknowledging it’s a “difficult question” if the industry has gone too far.
Since 2013, over 14 million vehicles have been recalled for airbags that may be defective, and overall last year there were a record 63.7-million vehicles recalled.
