WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKZO) — Republican Congresswoman Candice Miller says that she believes President Obama correctly identified the problem of growing income inequality during his State of the Union address. The congresswoman says, though, that the President’s prescription for dealing with the problem is wrong.
Miller says that instead of the President’s idea of raising taxes on some and making the tax code even more complex, the focus should be on simplifying the tax code by eliminating special breaks for a few so that taxes can be lowered for everyone. She says that a tax code that is simpler and fairer would turbocharge the economy, help to improve wages and allow Americans to better provide for their own families.
