DETROIT (WKZO) — An international housing study is putting Metro Detroit at the top of its list of major cities this year for the most affordable living costs.
According to the Demograhia International Housing Affordability Survey, the Detroit area is followed by Grand Rapids in a fifth-place tie with Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. The least affordable major city in the world is Hong Kong, with Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose all landing in the top ten for the most expensive.
The study defines Metro Detroit as Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.
