DETROIT (WKZO) — Two Michigan residents face charges in Canada after being stopped at the Windsor border with weapons. Windsor police say a 29-year-old Clarkston man and 17-year-old boy face charges of possessing and importing prohibited weapons into Canada.
The pair entered the country through the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel and caused a three hour closure of the international crossing Tuesday evening after officials discovered a suspicious package in the vehicle. Authorities say they found a smoke bomb, two butterfly knives and a set of brass knuckles.
