PAW PAW MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The numbers are up in Michigan for both vehicle crashes involving injuries and deaths.
Lt. Duwayne Robinson of the Paw Paw State Police stated in a release that injury accidents have increased 27%, while fatal crashes are up 34%.
Robinson said that the increased numbers are affected by more people on the state’s roads, but that those numbers were up last year as well, despite the pandemic.
Kalamazoo County reported more total crashes than any other county in the region.
The numbers reflect the number of crashes between January 1st and April 30th of this year.
