LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Governor Snyder tabbed two women from the Lakeshore among eight commissions and boards appointments announced today. Brandi McBride of Hudsonville returns to the Veterans Trust Fund Board of Trustees, a seven-member panel that oversees expenditures and awards grants to eligible combat-era vets and their families in financial emergencies or hardships. Elizabeth Bystrycki of Otsego joins the 13-member Advisory Council on Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing that is within the state Department of Civil Rights. Both women will serve three-year terms in their posts. The state Senate doesn’t have to sign off on these appointments.
