LANSING, MI (WHTC) – MIRS News is reporting that the state Department of Transportation “was slammed” in an Office of the Auditor General report for not properly monitoring warranties on road and bridge construction projects. Such neglect, the statement claimed, could shift cost liabilities of repairs from the contractors to the state. The report adds that documentation showing the record of these projects and inspections were not properly maintained. The survey was from October 2011 through last June.
