LANSING, MI (WHTC) – A lack of M-Dot oversight on road and bridge construction projects statewide headlined last Friday’s state Office of the Auditor General’s report. Somewhat overlooked was a conclusion that the Investigation Division of the state Bureau of Health Care Services didn’t consistently conduct complete investigations of code violations filed against health professionals, possibly putting public safety at risk. More than 25 hundred probes were studied between October of 2011 and last March. The state bureau is working on correcting problems documented in this report.
