KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Just hours before a double shooting in Kalamazoo that left one person dead early Thursday morning, police say two parked pars were struck by bullets in another area of the city.
Numerous shots were fired in the parking lot at an apartment complex in the Millwood neighborhood at around 10:45 Wednesday evening. There were no injuries.
A few hours later, at around 1:30 Thursday morning, 31-year-old James Miller of Vicksburg was shot in the 800 block of Lane Blvd and later died. He was one of two people shot. The other victim, a 23-year-old man, is expected to recover.
Police say the two shooting incidents are not believed to be connected.
