LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Bills that would allow charity poker rooms to continue operations in Michigan has been introduced in both chambers of the state Legislature. Senator Rick Jones of Grand Ledge and fellow Republican Representative Tom Barrett of Potterville are co-sponsoring the bills that are in response to proposed new rules by the state Gaming Control Board that charities claim would “drastically” limit fundraising abilities. Similar legislation failed full passage last year.
