PORTAGE MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Portage Public Safety continues to investigate an early Thursday morning accident that seriously injured a motorcyclist.
At around 7:55 am, officers responded to the Oakland Drive/Rosewood Ave. area, and found a 36-year-old man who had been driving a motorcycle north on Oakland.
The victim had struck the back of a Portage school bus, which had exited a private drive and was turning south on Oakland.
The bus driver and a student on the bus were not injured.
The victim was taken to Bronson Hospital for treatment.
Authorities are looking into whether the speed of the motorcycle was a contributing factor.
