LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Governor Snyder has signed an executive order creating the Michigan Agency for Energy, with Valerie Brader as its first director. This information hub for other departments and commissions coordinates energy priorities that Mr. Snyder had spelled out in a policy speech last week. The MAE will be under the umbrella of the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. Some responsibilities from existing departments have been shifted to the new agency, which begins its operations on May 17th.
