LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Minority state Senate Democrats have asked for a hearing into Governor Snyder’s appointment of Nick Khouri as State Treasurer. Such have been seldom since Republicans took control of both the Governor’s Mansion and the Upper Chamber five years ago. No previous appointees of Mr. Snyder have been rejected. Majority Leader Arlan Meekhof’s office is considering the request. Khouri, a deputy state treasurer during the Engler Administration, would replace Kevin Clinton as Treasurer.
