PAW PAW, MI (WHTC) – State police investigators have wrapped up their probe of the 193-vehicle fatal pileup on I-94 near Climax on January 9th. A total of 63 drivers will be ticketed in the incident that claimed the life of 57-year-old Canadian trucker Jean Larocque and injured 23 others, including five first responders.
The highway was closed in both directions for two days as a result of the crash. Troopers say that drivers going too fast for wintry conditions at the time was the primary cause of the pileup.
