LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The state Office of Highway Safety Planning is offering a specially-designed, high-visibility vest for bikers as part of an effort to improve motorcycle safety. The vest is for bikers who successfuly complete a public-sponsored riding training class this year.
Federal funds are paying for this bright yellow-green safety accessory normally worn by construction workers and first responders. Officials are hoping that nine thousand riders will have sharpened skills from taking this pilot program by summer’s end.
More details about the program can be found on this link. http://www.ridesafe2rideagain.com
