EAST LANSING, MI (WHTC) – After 27 years, the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s team wrestling finals are moving from its birthplace of Battle Creek’s Kellogg Arena to McGuirk Arena on the Central Michigan University campus in Mount Pleasant next fall. The association’s Representative Council agreed to a two-year deal with the school last week, and the former Rose Center Arena can accommodate not only more people, but provides practice areas for competing teams that Kellogg Arena cannot provide. In recent years, the MHSAA has also stripped Battle Creek from the annual Baseball and Softball finals; the volleyball finals are still held at Kellogg Arena.
