ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) – Allegan County Sheriff’s detectives are looking into the circumstances that led to an undetonated homemade bomb being found when the intake screen at the Allegan Dam was cleaned out on March 20th. A jug containing what appeared to be an accelerant with a firework taped to the side was spotted by Consumers Energy workers. State police bomb squad members deemed that the explosive device was no longer dangerous. It is not known how long the bomb was at the dam.
