PLAINWELL, MI (WHTC) – Freshman state House Representative Cindy Gamrat will run for the open Michigan Republican Party National Committeewoman seat vacated when Ronna Romney McDaniel assumed the state GOP Chairwoman’s seat. The Plainwell Republican may be challenged by South Haven’s Mary Whiteford, whom Gamrat beat in last year’s GOP primary, and Kathy Berden of Sanilac County. Gamrat was backed in her legislative campaign by current state Republican National Committeeman Dave Agema.
