ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) – Detectives want to know who may have been responsible for an undetonated homemade bomb that Consumers Energy workers uncovered while cleaning out intake screens at the Calkins Dam west of Allegan on March 20th. State police bomb squad members disposed of the jug containing what appeared to be an accelerant with a firework taped to the side. It was not known how long the device had been at the site. Tips to Allegan County Sheriff’s Deputies or Silent Observer are welcome.
