LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The Michigan Maritime Museum is getting a 22 thousand-dollar grant from the Michigan Lighthouse Assistance Program to help rehabilitate the South Haven Light Keeper’s dwelling and porch roofs. This was one of five grants statewide totaling nearly 120 thousand dollars; more than 1.5 million have been doled out since the annual program began in 2001. The Historical Association of South Haven is looking to raise 300 grand for full repairs and renovations to the South Haven Pier Lighthouse.
