KALAMAZOO, MI (WHTC) – Kalamazoo Public Safety will have more officers on hand, including mounted patrols, for tomorrow’s scheduled House Crawl on the West Michigan Avenue corridor west of the WMU campus. This is in response to last year’s event which saw about 2,000 gather, prompting police to don riot gear and fire tear gas canisters to break up the riotous crowds. A
bout 50 percent more officers will be on patrol from 10 AM tomorrow through 2 AM on Sunday. WMU Public Safety will also assist the KPSD.
