PAW PAW MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State Police authorities continue to look into the cause of a fatal two vehicle accident on I 94 Tuesday night.
Around 9:55 pm, troopers reported to mile marker 56 on westbound 94 in Paw Paw Township, and discovered that a semi-tractor trailer parked on the shoulder had been struck in the rear by a pickup driven by an 81 year old man from Milwaukee.
The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene; the 21 year old driver of the semi was uninjured.
It is not known at this time what caused the pickup to leave the road and hit the semi.
A portion of westbound 94 was closed for about 2 and a half hours after the accident.
