TRAVERSE CITY, MI (WHTC) – One of two living former Republican US Senators from Michigan has died. Bob Griffin, who served in Congress for more than 20 years and was a one-time state Supreme Court justice, passed away at the age of 91. No details of his death were immediately disclosed. Griffin was in Congress for 10 years before being appointed by Governor Romney to replace Senator Pat McNamara in 1966, and he served two terms in the Upper Chamber before losing to Carl Levin in 1978.
