ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) – A 25-year-old Allegan man will undergo a forensic examination to determine if he is competent to stand trial on murder charges in the death of his half-brother. Malcolm Dotson’s scheduled preliminary hearing has been put on hold in Allegan District Court. He allegedly shot 37-year-old Damon Sheldon once in the head before burying him in a shallow grave near a 26th Street mobile home on April 10th. There are reports that Dotson was the victim when Sheldon pled guilty to child molestation in 1995.
