LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Freshman state Representative Cindy Gamrat remained consistent, joining Democrats in voting against the 15.8 billion-dollar education omnibus budget bill that did clear the House by a 60-50 margin. The Plainwell Republican also went against the 37.8 billion-dollar general fund omnibus budget earlier this week that also cleared the Lower Chamber despite her objections. The Senate next week should take up budget bills that were sent from its Appropriations Committee last week.
