ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) – A now 16-year-old Hopkins boy pleaded guilty to felony murder and rape charges stemming from last June’s death of his 21-year-old cousin and the stabbing of his 67-year-old grandmother at the older woman’s Wayland home. As part of a plea deal, prosecutors will be seeking 40 to 60 years in prison when Joshua Keyzer is sentenced this June 15. Kassandra Keyzer died of her wounds at the scene; Sharon Keyzer recovered, but succumbed to an unrelated illness late last year.
