Fire Strikes Shelbyville-Based Business

SHELBYVILLE, MI (WHTC) – Investigators are looking into the case of an overnight fire that struck the Kraai Well Drilling building off of 124^th Avenue in Shelbyville. Neighbors in that eastern Allegan County community called 911 after hearing explosions, and crews arrived around 1:45 AM to find the garage ablaze. A parked vehicle inside apparently sparked the fire, which spread to other machinery. The business offices suffered some damage as well. The building was vacant at the time; no firefighters were injured.
