Pay Hike for State High Court Judges Recommended

LANSING, MI (WHTC) – As expected, the Michigan Officers Compensation Commission recommended a three-percent pay raise for state Supreme Court judges, a hike that will also be reflected in lower courts whose wage scale is tie-barred to the High Court. The Court of Last Resort in Michigan hasn’t had a raise in 14 years. The hikes will take effect if both the House and Senate concur. The OCC didn’t suggest any higher wages for other elected state officials in the Executive or Legislative branches.
