LANSING, MI (WHTC) – A three-bill package that would revoke Michigan’s prevailing wage law cleared a Senate committee after a two-hour hearing. To prevent a possible referendum, an appropriation to the state Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs was included. Senate Majority Leader Arlan Meekhof of West Olive, who testified earlier this spring on similar common construction wage legislation that passed in Indiana, also spoke for this package, which now goes to the Senate floor for consideration.
