LANSING, MI (WHTC) – State Department of Technology, Management and Budget officials told MIRS News that legislators in Lansing will soon be asked to sign off on between $800 million and $1 billion in new federal money over a three-year period due to a larger-than-expected turnout for the Healthy Michigan program. The money would be used to reimburse health providers through the Medicaid Access to Care initiative.
State officials say that around 645,000 people have signed up with Healthy Michigan.
