WASHINGTON, DC (WHTC) – A Cascade Township congressman is among the lawmakers pushing to protect the privacy of all Americans.
Republican Congressman Justin Amash and dozens of other House representatives signed a letter asking Senate leaders to adress concerns about the latest version of the USA freedom Act. The letter says it doesn’t do enough to dismantle the National Security Agency’s domestic spying programs.
The house passed the bill last week calling for the end of NSA’s collection of bulk phone records, but the agency could still ask private companies for records lincked to a case.
