MARTIN, MI (WHTC) – While most road projects across Michigan are taking just a holiday break, the barrels and barricades on 116th Avenue west of Martin are being pulled permanently today. The rebuilding of the bridge over US-131 was completed two weeks ahead of schedule, and repaving of M-222 was done six weeks earlier than expected. M-DOT officials say some shoulder work on the roadway, as well as lane closures of the highway below for bridge painting, are still planned for a few days in late June.
