GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – An elderly woman drove her car into an empty swimming pool in Grand Rapids on Sunday afternoon.
Mlive.com reports that the woman was parked in a CVS Pharmacy drive thru on 28th Street around 2:15 pm yesterday when she accidently put the car in reverse, drove backwards, and crashed through a fence separating the parking lot and a residential neighborhood.
The car landed in an empty pool belonging to Jefrey Banks and his mother. The woman was pulled from the vehicle by Grand Rapids Police and taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No one was in the house at the time of the accident.
