LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The state Office of Highway Safety Planning unveiled a new, summer-long awareness campaign designed to raise awareness of motorcycle, pedestrian, child passenger and bicycle safety among motorists between now and Labor Day. Besides advertisements in traditional media, the program will also access social media and feature community activities aimed at cutting down on traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries.
Extra police patrols are also included in this federally-funded initiative.
